The software update will allow the Basis B1 to monitor REM sleep, deep sleep, and light sleep throughout the sleep cycle. A daily "Personal Sleep Score" will give a mark to overall sleep quality, with the B1 also able to recognize when sleep begins automatically, rather than requiring a button to be pressed or other actions. The Advanced Sleep Analysis update will roll out to the iOS and Android Basis apps on January 21st.
