Google has launched
of Chrome apps for Android and iOS, which offers an early developer preview of a toolchain based on an open-source mobile development framework, Apache Cordova
Today's update adds to the Chrome apps release last fall that allowed for working offline by default, and having an app act like native applications on its host operating system (of Windows, OS X, and Chrome OS).
