Eclipse TD has announced the upcoming availability of its wireless speaker system, the Eclipse TD-M1. The M1 aims to reproduce the sound of music played live, incorporating a non-oversampling DA converter (NOS-DAC) for clear listening. Its egg-shaped form is designed to suppress internal standing waves, as well as minimize the diffraction effect that occurs from the front baffle angle. Featuring wireless music playback, the M1 is AirPlay compatible for high-resolution sound from any recent Apple computer or device. Touch sensors and LED indicators provide intuitive use and reduce clutter of its design, removing the need for buttons. The Eclipse TD-M1 has a dedicated iOS app available for remote control functionality, offering power on or off, volume adjustment and input switching functionality. Available for purchase beginning March 31, the Eclipse TD-M1 speaker system is priced at $1,300.

Light Blue 5 photography business software released, includes 'time off' tracking, WordPress plug-in

Desktop software for photography business management, Light Blue, has received an update with the release of Light Blue 5. Available for Mac and PC, Light Blue 5 facilitates business administrative tasks such as tracking one's contacts, creating workflow, photo shoot management, and documenting sales and expenditures.

The program syncs users' data to an online account when a network connection is present, and information can be accessed via its updated apps for iPhone and iPad. Major updates to version 5 include a new plug-in for WordPress websites, which lets photographers connect the forms on their website to their copy of Light Blue, as well as an API for those interested in coding their own forms.

Its 'time off' tracking feature allows users to note when they are not at the office, or when equipment is unavailable. Custom reports, contact grouping and tagging, and the addition of contact photos are also a part of the update. Priced at $500, Light Blue 5 can be purchased online, with a free trial also available for download.
