LG will be bringing its Knock Code unlocking system to the G2 and G Flex smartphones. First appearing on the G Pro 2 and G2 mini, Knock Code extends the existing KnockOn feature by waking and unlocking the device in one maneuver, via the user tapping four segmented areas of the display in one of 80,000 combinations. Knock Code will land on the G2 and G Flex from April onwards, depending on carrier and market.

Sony updates PS Vita with extended home screen, calendar

Sony has updated the firmware for the PS Vita to version 3.10. Once applied, the hand-held game console will show up to 500 applications on the home screen, up from the previous 100 apps, with users also gaining a calendar app with Google calendar support, and a new menu option making it easier to manage the content of a memory card, among other changes. The update is available to download from Sony now.
