Users seeking BlackBerry phones for sale on T-Mobile will soon be out of luck. The Canadian manufacturer announced today that it will let its agreement with T-Mobile expire, preventing the sale of hardware. Both companies will honor existing warranties and service contracts past the April 25 expiration date, however.
BlackBerry Chief Executive John Chen said in a statement that "regretfully, at this time, our strategies are not complementary, and we must act in the best interest of our BlackBerry customers." T-Mobile claims that it is "working closely" with other carriers to provide users venues to switch from T-Mobile with their BlackBerry devices.
