Acer today unveiled its new consumer product portfolio at a global launch event in New York. Themed "A Touch More Connected," the event showcased Acer's latest two-in-one device, the Aspire Switch 10, as well as the Acer Iconia One 7 tablet, and emerging market-targeted Iconia Tab 7 devices.

The Acer Iconia One 7 uses the Intel Atom Z2560 processor. The seven-inch LED-backlit display has 1280x800 HD resolution with IPS technology, and users can enjoy up to seven hours battery life when viewing 720p video. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), upgradeable to Android 4.4 (KitKat). The Acer Iconia One will retail for $130 when it sees release in the end of June.

The Acer Aspire Switch 10 is a notebook and tablet combined in one device with four modes for touch, typing, viewing, and sharing. The device features a magnetic detachable Acer Snap Hinge design for easy transition between modes, latch-free keyboard docking, and optional additional storage capabilities. The Switch 10 has a 10.1-inch display (1366x768 pixels) with IPS technology with a viewing angle of up to 178 degrees. The Intel Bay Trail T quad-core processor drives the machine, in conjunction with 64GB of storage ad 2GB of RAM.

The Acer Aspire Switch 10 will be available in late May with prices starting at $380.
