At the same time as launching 4K notebooks
and monitors, as well as more additions to its Transformer
device range, Asus revealed a new collection of Fonepad
and MeMO Pad tablets. The new Fonepad 8, MeMO Pad 7, and MeMO Pad 8 all use quad-core Intel Atom 64-bit mobile processors, with the former two tablets clocked at 1.8GHz, and the MeMO Pad at 2.3GHz.
The Fonepad 8 has an 8-inch 1280x800 IPS display with a 5.06mm bezel, giving it a screen-to-body ratio of 72.2 percent. Boasting multi-tasking and graphical performance, the tablet also has dual front speakers with Asus SonicMaster audio processing, with its connectivity over Wi-Fi and 3G also accompanied by the ability to use it as a mobile phone.

The MeMO Pad 7 opts for a smaller 7-inch IPS display with Miracast support for streaming to a television. On the back is a 5-megapixel camera with a 2-megapixel front-facing version, with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity bolstered by aptX CSR Bluetooth technology for streaming audio to headphones and Bluetooth speakers. Updating the previous model, the larger MeMO Pad 8 is billed as the world's "lightest 8-inch LTE tablet," weighing 299 grams (10.5 ounces) and measuring 7.45mm thick, with the same cameras.
