I dropped my iPod down a flight of *hard* steps onto a concrete basement floor.
Yikes!
Not a scratch and didn't miss a beat.....

Wow, not a scratch, did you have it in a case? I read someone else kept dropping his while biking, kept right on playing.

You've got to be kidding! The iPod scratches if you just look at it funny!
I once dropped mine about 2 feet onto a wood floor with no damage. Those iPods are tough little suckers.

We just moved into a house with all hardwood floors. It's good to know that my iPod should hold up as well being dropped onto them as well as it held up being dropped onto carpeted floors.
Now, let's just see if it can stand up to all the yard work I have to do now!
Cheers!

Yup - the only way to break an iPod is to use it to play MP3s.

I want to play my iPod through my car stereo. I want to leave it in the glove box when not in use. How much heat can it take? You know how hot it can get in your car when the doors and windows are closed. I wouldn't want to screw it up from overheating it.

I ran over my iPod with the lawnmower. I had hit the end of the strip I was mowing and was backing up as the iPod fell from my sweaty hands. Luckily the iPod was to heavy to get "Sucked Up", it survived with minor scratches, and was still playing. I don't have a bag on the back of the mower', I could only imagine the damage if those 6.5 ounces of mad fury hit my shins at full speed as they expected to be caught by the bag. The Pod is a sturdy. And I am a lucky.
