Are these working on Macs yet to import footage yet? I can't seem to find any compatibility yet.

As well as on any other platform other than Mac OS.

I believe that these are the camcorders you are referring to.

And yes these are OS X compatible.

Only the still images are compatible with OSX (So your digital pix stored on memory stick). Apple doesn't support the MPG format this cam uses for video.. Only MiniDV. So, don't be surprised if iMovie and FCP don't work well with this. I wish they did because I'd love to have something that size!

I got the impression that these video cam's were for the most part compatible with OS X.

Were is the information that says they are not compatible with iMovie and FCP.

I've been seeing that they aren't compatible at all for video. Nor, does anyone know as to if and when they will be. Sony's too much with trying to come out with new tech that doesn't go anywhere.

I don't think PCs have compatibility with these either.

The MPEG2 that Sony is using in the MicroDV tapes is not the same as the one used in DVD's. AFAIK it can only be imported and edited using the Sony supplied software. Could have been a great thing, but Sony had to ruin it. My recommendation: avoid.
