Dunno if this is an OS X or Cell Phone topic, but has anyone had experience w/ the t60d and Jaguar?
In the SteveNote @ MWNY, I wasnt clear on whether or not any bluetooth enabled phone could send notifications to the Finder that there was an incoming call.
is this possible with this phone or just iSync phones?

I'm not sure about your particular model (I have never owned a cell phone and I can't keep them all straight), but it seems to me that iSync should work with any Bluetooth phone that uses SyncML for the synchronization. So bluetooth is not the only requirement...
Anybody know otherwise?

Well, i know the phone won't work with iSync, because no TDMA phone is SyncML compliant (as far as i know).
I just didn't know if MacOS X supported any bluetooth enabled phone to popup notices of calls on the desktop. It may need GPRS or something. Not sure.

Oh, I see... then I have no idea, sorry. I'd like to see some of these things in action, but I have no cell phone or bluetooth adapter, so I'm out of luck for now.

Both Nokia and SonyEricsson make TDMA cell phones that use the SyncML protocol. The question is how they make the connection. If the phone relies on a USB or Serial connection to use SyncML, in many cases it won't work with OSX. However, as far as I know, getting the SonyEricsson bluetooth adapter for your phone and using it with a bluetooth adapter for your Mac should work but I'm 100% positive and have never tested it. It just seems that the T60 should utilize SyncML in a similar way to the T68.

Basically I bothered checking and it turns out I'm totally wrong. I wonder why similar phones from similar companies do not use the same technology. Is there something about SyncML that cannot operate with a TDMA phone? Does anyone know if SyncML works with CDMA phones?
