where is it? granted since itunes 3 isn't supported on os 9 most of the updates will be useless but i at least want the damn clock! ipod is lacking a lot of functionality... where is the cd burning from an ipod??? where is the free managing of mp3s (i have a hd smaller than my ipod so how else do i manage that)??? why does an audio device crash (this is rediculous cd players don't crash and if the mp3 is corrupted then skip it damnit!)??? where is the ability to use contacts without buying ontourage an expensive microsoft application that i don't have???
apple really needs to come out with an ipod specific management tool that allows for the use of ALL functionality on BOTH of the os's and windows too.
OS 9 is dead--they even had a funeral. It's not going to quit working, but I wouldn't expect things like a native iPod updater to be high on the priority list, and like you said, iTunes 3 isn't even supported on it.
