I wanted to add the fact that I thought the side-by-side comparison with original 5GB iPod was goo to see. It's hard to tell there is a depth different, but I think it's clear enough. One other thing is that the front is exactly the same, I tried to guess which one had the scroll wheel and which had the trackpad, but guessed wrong.

I need to take pictures of mine with all the freaking fingerprints on the remote I have after just a week. While I COULD clean the remote it would just end up with more fingerprints. The prediliction my iPod has to gather fingerprints is one of its few minor drawbacks that I have found so far. You'll also notice using the case it comes with (which I do) the face of the iPod gets these tiiiiiiiiiiny little streaks in the plactic. I've yet to attempt to buff these out or something.
