Greetings! this is my first post :-)

I have a problem with my Hipzip, it jsut will not work with OS X i cant format the discs in DOS-format (which is required) and if i use another computer running OS 9 to format the discs, OS X wont copy the songs to the disc :-(

Did anyone in here manage to make the HipZip work with OS X?

Before I got my iPod, I had a HipZip that worked fine is OSX (though file transfers were MUCH slower than OS9 for some reason).
Do the disks otherwise work as expected in OS9? OSX has builtin drivers for Iomega stuff, so I don't see that being an issue. What are you using to try to format the disks?

Well somehow i got it working tonight :-)

The transfer is indeed MUCH slower, i wonder why??!!??

I was using Apples Disc utillity, but when i choose DOS as format, it somehow prepares the disc, but doesnt delete anything...

On OS 9 i used Iomega tools, but the OS X version is not quite there yet :-( come on Iomega!!!

I guess i will just have to live with some minor annoying "bugs" until i find the money for an iPod ;-)
