From http://www.googiedrives.com/

I like their up-coming Googie Organic Enclosure for 99 Euro

copy from their site;
The Googie Organic Enclosure is available starting September 30th.

I couldn't find any actual picture of the Googie Drives, but if you want a decent enclosure for your 3.5" HDD right away, go for the Wibetech FireWire DriveDock or the SuperDrive Dock. They are both without fan and speedy too. Reviewed on barefeats.com
I don't think there is a stand-alone sandwich enclosure on the market. BTW, I'm also looking for a decent enclosure as well.

Two other other sources for FW enclosures are

http://www.fwdepot.com (US)

and

http://www.span.com (UK)

I haven't purchased from either, so I couldn't coment of the products or service.

techserve (http://www.techserve.com) here in NYC has some nice FW enclosures that they make. Nice polished metal surrounded with clear plastic and a cool blue LED power/activity light in the front.
