On my old pc that i used xplay with ipod i have a bunch of songs on my pc and want to transfer them to my new mac with itunes! all i know is that once i plug in my ipod the songs all get deleted and it seqrenizes eith itunes! ow can i get my songs over to my mac? Help would be great!
First, try posting this in the Peripherals forum. Second, try ipodlounge.com. I would like to know the answer too, as my iPod should be here in a week or so.

If I understand correctly, you want to prevent your Mac from erasing songs and synchronising automatically when you plug it in, right? If so, it's pretty easy. With the iPod plugged into your Mac, a small iPod appears in the lower right-hand corner of the iTunes window. Click on this and a settings window should appear that will let you set it to "Manually synch with iTunes" or something like that (I'm on a Windows PC right now so I can't check it...Actually, check out http://www.apple.com/itunes/theater/ipod.html and you'll see exactly what I mean.
