Now that the new iPods are out (with remote - at last!) I'm tempted to get one. I've already got a perfectly good Nike PSA Play MP3 player, but the possibility of using an iPod to back-up temporarily before upgrading to 10.2 would be quite useful.

Is it perfectly feasible to back up a full 10GB 's worth of hard drive from my iBook? Is it just a case of plug in the iPod, then drag and drop the contents of the hard drive?

This would save a lot of back-up CD-Burning. Cheers.

my friend just did it today. She wanted to install OSX on her beige G3, but you know, it will require the first partition to be 8gb exactly, so she had to backup her 8 plus gb worth files. We went to apple soho, and they have 10 gb ipod in stock, we backed up entire disk in less than half hour. Think about ow many cdr(s) you have to burn in order to backup 8 gb datas.
