I have a presentation coming up soon and I was thinking about getting one of the KEYSPAN digital remotes for my Pismo PB.

Before I buy, can any one tell me if they have used any of the remotes before with their PB and does it behave the way it should?

The presentation is with PowerPoint but I notice you can remote control 'other' features of the PB.

As mentioned there are two remote on offer.

If the KEYSPAN ones are no good, are their others that are better?

Many thanks,

I got the Keyspan DMR last march and it has worked great. in OS9 there is a standard app on the cd that lets you command any app, itunes, dvd, explorer, anything you want also you can costomize any key stroke.

IN OSX there you have to download a seperate app that is incompatabel with clasic mode, IE the remote become useless when running a classic app.

I mainly got it to use with the dvd player in my mac and it works fine. I would get the origianal DMR because it has way more buttons which has more uses. The range is good. I got it to about 25 feet and it still worked.

I GOT WASTED WITH PHIL SHERRY!!!

I use the Keyspan remote for DVD (with iBook hooked up to the TV) and iTunes, mostly. It works great. It's fully programmable to replicate whatever keystrokes you want, and the hardware itself is well made. It can even be used like a wireless mouse (though using 4 arrow buttons like a mouse is obviously a bit cumbersome). This product gets my official Seal of Approval™.
