I've noticed that some people really like the dual display setup. I'm about to purchase a new Powermac and I'm trying to decide between dual 17s or a single 22 or 23. What are the pros and cons of using two smaller monitors instead of one larger one? Can you confine certain apps and the dock to one screen?

Thanks

there are a few things to consider...personally, i prefer the dual setup, while the single monitor looks "cooler" & more expensive IMHO...

If you always have multiple windows open, it's more advantageous to have a dual display since it's easier/better to organize things that way...i dunno...It's nice to have Quake loaded on 1 monitor and work loaded on another, just MHO anyway...

Here are some numbers to play with...
assuming the 17in is 13in * 11in, if u get 2, the effective size is 'bout 28in...
G4/450, T-bird 1.05GHz, iBook 500, iBook 233...4 different machines, 4 different OSes...(9, 2k, X.1, YDL2.2 respectively) PiA to maintain...
