I was just reading on the Apple discussion boards that the MacOSX driver listed as 1.30 on the Samsung site works in 10.2. When you download it, it says it is driver 0.30, but I think the difference is that this is not the 0.30 beta. Could someone with a Samsung ML-1210 and OS10.2 give this driver a try and let me know if it works? I'm thinking of replacing my Epson EPL-5700i with the ML-1210, and want to know if the driver is out and working before I drop the money down for this printer. Also, could someone please verify for me that the ML-1210 comes with OS9 drivers as well. I still have some classic apps that I need to print from as well.

Thanks

Dave

So what shows up on the Samsung site as far as I can tell is the v0.30 driver from August 8, 2002. I have this and am able to print just fine from 10.2. OS 9 drivers come out of the box, or you are able to download them from Samsung's site.

Cheers!

I assume you are using the ML-1210. I have been reading alot about it and will likely buy one soon. How do you like it?

I like it quite a bit... it does a wonderful job with text, a fairly good job with graphics and with the newer (August 8) drivers is quite fast in OS X 10.2. For the money, I don't really have any reason to complain about it... 600x600 dpi is plenty good enough for what I'm using it for. I've actually never used it in 9, so I don't know how well the OS 9 drivers are written... but my wife (who uses it via her PC) and I are very happy with our purchase (bought it about 2-3 months ago).

HI Chris

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll try and pick one up. I noticed that they are discontinued, but I can still find them online. I appreciate the help!

Dave
