I've followed Handspring's spartan instructions here and I can't get my visor deluxe to sync. It syncs fine when I startup in 9. I've tried doing a hard reset to the visor, and that didn't work. I've switched USB ports, and that still didn't work.

any ideas, comments, etc?

My brother had to create a user account specifically for his Visor Pro. My guess is something he had in his library was conflicting with the sync software. However, I was able to load the software and sync his Visor with my user account in OS X with no modification and without creating another user account. Try creating a "Visor" account and see what happens.
