Suggest good multipurpose scanner under OS X?

	I was very interested in the Epson Perfection 2450 scanner since it seems to be a good multipurpose scanner-- standard flat bed scanner functions and slide and negative scanner. I have a large collection of old 35mm slides I want to scan. But it apparently will not function under OS X !! Does anyone know if there are plans to release OS X drivers for this scanner? Is there a hack that allows this scanner to be used under OS X? And finally, does anyone have any observations to make about this scanner? Thanks. John
