Ok I just bought a 120 GB internal HD, but I went with a place that gets them directly from the manufacture (or something) to save money. So I wasn't surprised when it came with no screws, cables, or manuals other than the invoice. My question is where can I get proper screws for it?

It's a "IBM Deskstar 120GXP 120GB ATA/100 7200RPM Hard Drive"

I usually get screws from an old computer, though occasionally they come with a new case...

Most of the time I just use 2 screws (or less if the drive bay's a tight fit, as that's sufficient to secure the drive, but apparently newer drives require all 4 for cooling purposes. If you've got an old PC, or know someone who has one to gut, grab some screws and jumpers from it, you'll be really glad of them someday, honest

I got the same drive from Googlegear. Of course, it arrived without any screw. But the external enclosure that I bought came with all the screws I need, even few extra that I do not need. It is now up and running

Try this if you only have one existing HD before you bought the IBM...

In your g4 (i'm assuming) there should be some plates at the bottom of the case (inside) to put more drives...
there are screws that are holding down those plates. Those screws will fit the drive. This, of course, is also assuming that you're not going to use those plates. But in case you do, next time you buy harddrives you can ask for extra screws.

Btw, fYI, the term for "that gets them directly from the manufacture (or something)" is OEM: original Equipment manufactue.

I too, bought an OEM drive (WesternDigital though) to save money... but heck, i have an excuse for it, i'm chinese and we're cheap IMHO, if you knw what you're doing, OEM can be excellent deals.
