I bought a EtherFast Wireless-Ready USB PrintServer from linksys in hopes of connecting my printer to the network. The thing has truly awesome features like enabling appletalk on the network, netbeui and other cool stuff.

The thing is, when I bought it I could not find a list of compatible printers, the only thing I could find is that it said "Runs with Virtually All Laser, Ink Jet, Bubble Jet, Color and Dot Matrix Printers". Well, it turns out that it does not work with a Canon s900......

If anyone else is even looking at buying this product I recomend you email linksys beforehand. Hopefully they will release a firmware upgrade for the printserver so I can print here at home.

Linksys sucks........

The software for programming the server is not compatible, but you can program it via the web browser. It also supports appletalk and netbeui running at the same time. That is why I bought it. it would rock if it had appropriate support for newer printers even though this product was just released.

It truly sucks, they are not answering my emails anymore.

How did you get this to work? Did you have to by a wireless card for it? Do you know if it is compatible with the Lexmark X83?

PHoynak I would recomend you direct your question towards the linksys technical support people. They truly suck at giving support but they have a list that they personally have that shows all unsoported printers. THey should publish that list.....

I got it working the other day, but it is dog slow, it takes forever to print a godamn page.
