I was wondering wat would be better for hooking up a printer in my dorm room. I was thinking of getting a bluetooth adapter for wireless printing or should i spend a little more money on something that would enable me to print wirelessly. Which is better and which you prefer? Any help would be helpful. Still contemplating which to get.

thanks

Mac OS X does not support the bluetooth printing profile yet, so I wouldn't go down that route.

Bluetooth is BAD BAD BAD for printing. Text is fine but it can't handle a 8 x 10 picture. The printing will stop several times and take forever.

Wireless printer adapters are a rip off. You would be better off using USB printer sharing or getting a router with a print server in it.

Thanks guys!!! Over the last couple of days from doing some research i came to the same conclusion. Thanks again. I will probably go down the road of usb cable and just get one that is long. I don't want to spend the extra money in getting something that will be slow. I also think that i can't afford the wireless printing cause of money flow. Furthermore the area that i want to cover is short so will just get by with usb. It's much cheaper and more efficient like you guys said.

thanks
