hello, I've had a original ipod since they came out last year. Two days ago, it started acting wierd and now it's not working at all. When I press play and menu for a reset, the battery icon shows up on the ipod. I've let the battery get empty a few times in the past. I know there are updates out there. I just need to know what to do. Any help is appreciated. Thanks...

Do you have to charge the battery? Is it not holding a charge?

have you update the 1.2 softwares? if yes, you are not alone out there. 1.2 eats up battery, but apple doesn't want to admit that yet!

Thanks for your help. Yes the batterie is fully charge, and no I haven't updated since I got it last november. It as now completly died on me. The function buttons don't work anymore. The Apple logo stays on the screen all the time. Very weird.......

Update: i've installed the software 1.2 for my ipod and now a folder with an ? appears on the screen..... Nothing works now.
