hope this belongs here are not in 'G4' heading.
there are a variety of CD/RW's out there, internal EIDE, that are now very cheap: Best Buy has one (TDK 40x12x48x) for $40 his week. OfficeMax as a 'Polaroid' 40x12x48x with 'burnproof' for $40 also.

how doed onw find out if Toast supportts these or apple does?

very inexpensive for a second internal CR/RW for the new g4's

the real problem isn't with compatability but with the size of the drive, the lower drive bay is smaller then normal bay, anout a couple MM to short for most drives, also the drive tray is too big on most drives, so you will have to remove the face plate of it, some pop off and some don't so definalty look into it,

Check out xlr8 your mac for more compatablity with specific drives, I would get a nice Lite On 48x burner.
