Here is my dilemma. I just had my Palm M505 stolen. I have an old visor that I am now using.

However, I think I can make a claim on my insurance for the 505. My question is this:

I am also in the market for a cell phone. I am debating to use the insurance $ to get a Treo 300. I was wondering if anyone here who has expereince with the Treo AND Sprint can give me their opinion of either (or both).

If I decide against the Treo, should I wait for Palm OS 5 to come out (ie when is that due). I have an old visor that I can use in the meantime, and it works fine, it's just bulky relative to the Palm 500 series.

Alternatively should I consider the Sony's? I really like their screens from what I have seen in the stores. Will they be upgradable to OS 5? Will they sync with OS X.2?

Anyone who has even a teeny tiny bit of advice, please post it for me.

Peace,

O
B unce!

Since Palm OS 5 is designed for a new class of CPUs (ARM-based), my guess is that no existing models will be upgradeable to OS 5. I could be wrong, but even if they could upgrade to OS 5, they wouldn't really be able to take advantage of its new features.
