I own a SAGEM ISDN USB adapter, which is kind of fine, but I have a serious issue. I want to put it on my iBook's USB ports. The problem is: I'm running OS 10.1.5 on the thing, and SAGEM seems to have left the ISDN modem business completely (how's that for support?). So, I can't get no SAGEM branded drivers for X.

I would like to ask the following:

1) does anybody know if there are drivers or patches or anything to make the modem work on my iBook?

2) if not, does anybody know HOW I can share the modem connection between my iBook and a beige G3 desktop, the latter running 9.2. I do have a complete ethernet setup with hub. I do want to access the internet from my iBook, for my mail, for example.

HELP ME PLEASE.

there is a way to share your connection between your macs, and you don't need any drivers at all:

Use an ethernet ISDN/DSL modem. They're widely available, and your dsl provider will provide them if you insist or, if they don't have them, then you should buy one at a computer store.

you might be able to find a dsl modem that acts as a router, too. this would provide ethernet ports for all your computers--no drivers required.

OS X uses PPPoE to connect to dsl services.

maybe I should've specified that I don't want to buy anything new (even more so as I'm switching to cable in the foreseeable future, and that I hope that I will no longer have these problems).
