Due to problems with my TiBook/400 and 10.1.5, I'm unable to use more than one Firewire device at a time by daisy-chaining (see this thread: http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.p...hreadid=122479).

I'm considering a Firewire hub to see if that will solve the problem. Does anyone have any experience with these and, if so, what manufacturer do you recommend?

I am using a noname brand Firewire hub I bought for $25. It's powered, and it seems to work fine with my drives. However, I also had no problems daisychaining my 3 Firewire drives and 1 compact flash reader on my iBook. (I did have some problems intermittently on my PC, but then again I had the same problem daisychaining on the PC, and now everything seems to work fine 95% of the time.)

Picked up a Belkin hub today at CompUSA...they're kind of expensive, but will be worth it if it fixes the problem. So far, I have both drives and my CD burner hooked up without problems, but it's too early to tell ...
