Who manufactures the LCD screens for Apple's Displays? I've looking all over and I haven't found the answer, could someone just tell me? Thanx.

Philips is a key supplier of TFT-LCD’s to Apple, via its joint venture, LG.Philips LCD. Its products are used across the Apple product range, including the flat-panel iMac and 23-inch Apple Cinema HD display.

That's just my opinion. What do I know, I'm just a college student.

Also, remember Apple invested $100,000 in Samsung some time ago to ensure that they could manufacture LCD's for Apple.

EDIT: Here we go (link).

Yup. The 22" Cinema is a really old LG panel. The contrast ratio and refresh times are not pretty. That's why Apple doesn't list those specs.

Hmm. According to http://www.apple.com/displays/acd22/ the contrast ratio is 300:1. That's not bad, is it? That's the same ratio as on my 15" Studio Display and I have been more than pleased with it.

I always thought that the contrast ratio was 400:1 It's 400:1 for the FORMAC LCD display
