When is Epson going to release a native OS X driver for Perfection 1250 scanner if ever? Windows XP has drivers but not OS X?

Does Jaguar come with drivers to work this model of scanner?

If not what is the point in upgrading if peripherals can not be used natively in OS X.

Actually, a beta twain driver is out. The scan to file doesn't work in OS X apps; you have to scan the image to a file first, and then open that file in an app, like Photoshop. The Twain 5.75 driver allows you to scan directly from within Photoshop.

I am looking for something that will allow me to scan using my Perfection 610 in Jaguar. Any help would be appreciated and I do not use Photoshop. Will what has been mentioned work for me?

The TWAIN drivers that KarlG linked to above is what you'll need first. Since you don't have Photoshop to aquire the scans, try Graphic Converter - I know that has a TWAIN aquire function.

(FYI - I just tried to use my Epson Perfection 1200 with Graphic Converter and it didn't work - although it works perfectly with Photoshop 7. Maybe someone else can recommend another app with TWAIN aquire.)

Keep the rubber side down!

The setup with the 1250 freezes on me if I try to scan more than once in Photoshop 7. I usually quit and relaunch photoshop between scans...
