I need a bit of help configuring my new airport base station. May involve port mapping but I am not sure.

Here is the set up : SDSL line with 4 static IP addresses into an Asante hub - LAN and WAN from Airport connected to same hub - desktops and laptops set up with DHCP [ some are hardwired into the hub / some have airport cards ] - Airport set up to assign IP's with one of the static IP's assigned to it.

So here's the question. One machine that is hardwired into the hub I would like to assign a static IP so I can use it as an FTP server. When I do this I lose the ability to fully network. Other machines can connect to it but not vice versa.

Something is not right - any suggestions would be appreciated.
