If I hard-reset my Palm m100, will I be able to restore everything from my HotSync backup (which is up to date)? Or will I lose any programs, hacks, patches, data, or other items?

I have a file on my Palm that will not delete no matter what I do, and it looks like a hard reset would be the only way to get rid of it. However, I'm unsure how big a risk this would be, because I don't want to lose data.

Any help would be appreciated

i had to do a hard reset on my palm vx recently. lost all my data, but my hacks were there (they just had to be re-initialized). hot-synced, and got my data back from my mac

but

i'd definitely back up my palm users file (from your mac) first, just in case you overwrite that file

(and maybe wait for some more responses here...)

good luck!

in the hotsync conduit manager, set System to do a full backup of the device. wording will be different, but it's really easy so no worries.
