I want to buy a PDA. I don't like Palm. I would like a HP Jornada or Ipaq or something like that. Question is. Is it possible to sync units running PocketPC with Entourage or Ical/Mail/Adressbook on OSX?
What about Isync? Will it support something like this?
Or am I, as a Mac user, stuck with the Palm option?
BTW: anyone using the Ericsson T68i on mac? I believe it has most of the options I am looking for. Any recommandations on this?

Pocket PC is soooo much better than a Palm. Unfortunately, there is no cheap way to allow you sync directly with Mac except for http://www.pocketmac.net.
Therefore, I use an cheap Visor to sync between my PC and Mac.
Hope Zaurus will release a Mac OSX sync tool soon.

WAIT!
Don't buy PocketMac just yet. They will be releasing a Jaguar version coming pretty soon. I do agree. The PocketPC platform is lightyears ahead of PalmOS. I am waiting for Apple to make PDA.

I think you'll be waiting a long time (ie never) for Apple to build a PDA. There's tons of competition, low margins, the need for constant hardware revisions, and it's tougher to standout in that market (unlike the iPod among MP3s).
It's a lot less risky for Apple to build software that connects Macs to existing phones and PDAs. Not as fun for us, but 'fiscally responsible'.

That is fine too, just as long as I don't have to use PalmOS. It seems like using Windows 3.1 when I have the option to use OS X.

OK, thanks everyone. nice to know that e have options. i still hope that Isync will support some sort of synching, at least in future revisions. Why can't they just all standarrdize on one format for info and a protocol. God how much easier things would be.
I am seriously thinking of getting a ericsson T68i. It has the basic functionality I am looking for in a PDA (calendar/mail/games).
Time will show...
Anyone out there with some infor/experiences on the T68(i)?

Well I just sold my iPaq 3765 because my new T68i could handle all the basic PDA stuff I needed to deal with. Calendar, Contacts, and Notes. It's compact, gets the job done with minimal fuss and overhead, and the integration with MacOS X via Bluetooth is pretty neat. Can make phone calls and answer calls directly from within Address Book. iSync should make life even more satisfying.
I originally bought the iPaq because I felt like it would make a good handheld computer and offered a wealth of power and features. The longer I had it the more disappointed I was with it. The PocketPC OS is just not very good for one, the natural Handwriting recognition was pretty aweful, and it just feels sluggish. Not to mention that the battery life was aweful. I could tell that the device was too complex to be a good PDA, and it was too lacking to be a handheld computer.
I've been very happy with my T68i, I'm hoping that if I can get some funds in the next several weeks that I may be able to pick up and iBook and a Timbuk2 bag. I think that would be the perfect combo and I could even use the T68i as a high speed modem via Bluetooth from anywhere I could get a signal. Pretty handy

Thanks, thats what I hoped to hear! I came very close to buying a T68i today, but I am in the process of starting in a new job, and my new employer will supply me with a phone, so I have to wait a bit and start nagging my boss for a T68i
