My buddy is buying an imac G4 that his wife is doing freelance graphics business on.
He all ready has an Epson 1520 printer that they want to keep using because it prints 11X17.

It has parallel ports, so my question is: Will any USB to parallel adapter do or do I need to find one from Epson for this specific printer?

Thanks for your help.

I picked up one from ATEN that worked just fine for me:

I think I bought this thing from Outpost.com, but I don't remember now. I connected it to an HP 5MP printer, but it should work equally well with other printers.

One caveat: it doesn't provide full bi-directional communication, so your computer won't get any feedback when there's a paper jam or the paper runs out. Assuming the computer's in the same room as the printer, this isn't too big a deal.
