I'm seeking advice on a general purpose home printer, also for printing photos from an iMac on OS X. The Epson Photo 785EPX looks pretty good, especially at $149, and especially with a $50 rebate for purchase of a digital camera.

The specs on the Photo 960, not available until November, look good, but I wonder just how different the printeris for the difference in price. Can anyone comment on the quality of photos printed by both of these priners? Does having individual color ink cartridges really mean saving money on ink?

I'd appreciate any suggestions. -- Rick
