Is it possible?

I have a friend who bought the iPod before the Windows version came out, so to make things easier for him, I was wondering if it could be converted.

I think it would be easier to convert him. Sorry, couldn't resist. I believe I have read here that you can convert a windows to a mac, but apple hasn't released a way to go from mac to windows. Which kind makes sense since they where talking Trojan horse and all, see first sentence. Maybe there is a third party solutions. It seems to me that you should be able to do.

Apparently it is possible.

A friend who is thinking of switching was asking the same question.
He has an iPod Windows version and is aiming to get a Mac next year.
When he approached the genius bar, he was told that it can be done - although unauthorised, and definitely unsupported.

I told him that it would be risky if he did it without any official Apple knowledge document.
