What I would like (at least for my ibook) is a 1 button + scroll wheel trackpad.
nowadays x86 trackpads have a nice function that maps the right border of the touchable surface to the scroll whell. Really cool!

Well, I voted for the 2nd option, but what Apple should really do is make a wheel mouse available as a BTO option.
I'd actually be really interested to see what an Apple-designed wheelmouse would look like.

A week ago, I would have said 1 button. now I have a 2 button wheel mouse, and...I've been missing out. 2 buttons and scroll wheels rule.
An apple design 2 button wheel mouse? If it looked like the one I have here, I'd be happy.

Being able to scroll through websites or documents makes things so much simpler, instead of having to drag the scrollbar which is more work. Yes, the Pro Mouse is nice (I use one), but would no doubt be better if it had a scrollwheel.

i use the right button as control-click, also clicking the scroll wheel+double-clicking.
only thing, feel stifled when working on anyone else's mac....

Must have two or more buttons, must have a scroll wheel
Been through a ton of mice over the past seven years, but got stuck for the last one and a half or so with a Logitech optical trackman wheel. I had used the regular mouseman wheel and loved it because I have large hands; its a glove-like fit.
The trackman is the same fit but the trackball on the thumb becomes an incredibly good tool for quick, accurate work. I don't like trackballs but this design, with the smooth hand fit is a winner.
I know some people knock logitech but their input devices are in my books first class.
