Got it today, it's MUCH better than the Microsoft cordless intelimouse explorer which I'm retiring.

It both feels much better and tracks like it's a corded mouse, I'm pleasantly surprised.

love my mouse man optical has about 10-15 feet of use on new batterys love it use it with DVD player from bed. although it took a while to get used to it coming from 2 years of the pro mouse but now it feels like second nature. I just wish mine had rechargable batteries with a docking station then I would be set

I GOT WASTED WITH PHIL SHERRY!!!

All you have to do is download the software from Logitechs site, works great in 10.2.1.

Haven't tried any games but its a great mouse, not only is there no delay but its got a great feature called cruise control that lets you scroll through long documents or web sites with the press of a button.

It also feels great in the hand.

If you get the chance, could you give us more details please. Can the buttons be assigned by application - ie for browser have the thumb buttons do one thing, for picture viewer have the same buttons do something else?

Haven't tried any games but its a great mouse,

This mouse has the potential to be the perfect gaming mouse. I have Logitech's WheelMouse optical now and would love to have the extra buttons and features of the MX700. But even with games, I'd like to program the mouse to act differently per game. Do the MX700 drivers support this?

It also feels great in the hand.

Believe me, I'm already sold on the MX700 physical design and Logitechs excellent optical tracking. I'm just holding out until I learn more about the drivers.......joe

To tell the truth I haven't had time to really experiment with the MX700 drivers yet, but I'm inclined to think that you can do at least limited amount of assigning buttons to programs as before I set the cruise control buttons to scroll through web sites, it scrolled through the dock applications.

Not sure about this

All I can tell you is after buying the first MX700 mouse for myself I bought 4 more for the other members of my family, it's that good.

You can't assign the buttons by application. This is a drag because Quake and Urban Terror wont let use modifier keys (ie command-h) for weapons, etc. Other then that it's a kick ass mouse. Oh yea, USB Overdrive doesn't recognize all the buttons correctly.

I read somewhere that the RF used for the MX700 is in the same range as Airport. Are there any interference problems?

Picked up the MX500 (corded version of the wireless) yesterday. I'll second the motion that its a great mouse. The only that bugs me (and really not too much), is the scroll wheel action feels a bit on the stiff side, other than that a flawless (imho) mouse from logitech.

The Logitech control center is pretty good as well, although it does lack the abilitiy to change your actions on an application by application basis, however quite a few apps out there allow you to change the keys for different commands, so for me, its not a real big issue.

I second this. Been using my MX 500 for a while now and love it. The scroll wheel is as tough as my old mouseman and trackman wheels, but feels smoother to the touch.

Application switching from the button works pretty well in X too, which suprised me.
