hey all

i have a 10gb ipod. it charges fine when plugged into my mac, and used to charge fine when i used the plug adapter that came with it. lately when i use the plug, my ipod shows the charging icon on its screen, but upon removing the plug my battery level has stayed the same.

i think its safe to assume there is something wrong with my ipod plug adapter. before i go to apple and spend 50$ for a new one, does anyone have an idea of what might be wrong with it, and how to fix it? Since its not yet a year old it is possible to get apple to replace it free?

thanks

What version iPod firmware do you have? (Check the About screen on the iPod if unsure).
Try resetting the iPod (hold the Play and Menu buttons down for a few seconds) and see if that gets the battery level to report correctly. iPod firmware 1.2.1 fixed this issue.
