Can I charge my iPod (Mac version) with a PC, using a 6 pin firewire cable? Obviously, there's nothing to sync with, but from time to time, I'd like to charge my 'Pod at work, where I use a peecee (ugh!)

Yes. I do it all the time. I have MacDrive on my PC so I can actually access the data -- but it will charge even if it's unreadable to the Pee Cee.
