I have the graphite G4 and I need an internal CD burner. Which brand do you recommend? Does the box HAVE to say Mac on it? I'd like something fast and reliable. No more cheapo burners.

Thanks

if you have toast, im os 9 roxio says that all ide drives should work. In osx, they say this:

"Toast 5.1 or later and Jam 5 or later should support all IDE drives that follow the MMC (Multi-Media Command set) standard.

Check with the drive documentation, packaging or manufacturer's web site to verify MMC compliance."

If you need any info like this, just visit http://www.xlr8yourmac.com it has lots of reviews from people that have done this sort of modification.

I purchased a Lucky Goldstar burner after reading reviews and it is fully recognised by iTunes, the Finder and Toast.
