Sorry if this is a duplicate, but I searched topics and could not find it...

I have one of the original 5 gig pods and I love it! It changed my life, really. I live in Japan and travel back to the US and to other desinations all the time. And it is such a pleasure taking most of my music with me.

Anyway, I have such a large music collection (about 15 gigs) that I want to buy a new 20 gig iPod. My roommate wants to buy my original off me. The problem is that he uses my iBook too. How can we run two iPods off the same machine? Will his songs and playlists be under is unsername or can we share files? Also, what should I do when I first get my new pod attached to the iBook?

Any tips and answers to my questions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advace all!

Yes you can run two iPods off the same machine. I do it all the time.

The tougher part is running the same iPod off two machines (think you need to turn off auto-updating or this is trouble).
