Ok. I just bought a new Lexmark Z45se, hoping to improve the quality of my photo prints (from the aging HP deskjet I had). I checked the Printers folder in the Library folder in the root level of my HD (OS X 10.2.1), and, as I had hoped, the driver was already there. Everything worked fine.
Now, I downloaded the updated drivers from Versiontracker (v3.0.0) and installed them. And still, everything SEEMINGLY worked fine.
Now, enter the problem. I was using photoshop to eventually print a photo. When I chose the options (paper type, quality, etc.) and set them to "glossy photo paper" the printer would start to feed...then take fifteen or twenty seconds, then spit out the photo paper without printing...EVERY TIME! I absolutely can't get photoshop OR Graphic Converter to make this Lexmark to print to photo paper.
I can choose any other type of paper OR quality (i.e., "best") and it prints fine, as does any text documents from Word, Excel, etc., but not this one type of print.
Any suggestions?
