Which programme can i use to read iPod hfs disk on PC?

I know the programme Macopener from datviz, but is there a freeware app that i can use to mount an iPod on a pc. It's for file transfer not for mp3 use.
I found also a programme Hdexp131 but i haven't tested it yet. And i don't think it will work.

Please can someone help me to take full advantage of the iPod as removable harddisk.
