This might sound like a silly question but bear with me for a moment.

At work on a Windows network we have a Xerox Fiery Colour Laser. Under Jaguar CUPS I can mount it as an AppleTalk device and everything works like a dream. Except when the printer is broke.

In the next cubicle is a non postcript HP 5si printer. The only printer driver I can get at is through Gimp -Print. I expect that it would work OK.

My question is: Can I retain true PostScript printing to the Fiery if I install Gimp - Print for the 5si? I don't want to break printing to the Fiery since that capability is mission critical.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks in advance
