I want it to connect de game consoles via RCA conectors to my Mac for view in the Apple 17" TFT.

But I'm not sure If I can view the games in the monitor resolution or in the TV's resolution (720x480).

Thx!

You can use the bundled Formac TiVeRon software or BTV and set it to full screen, but I think the picture quality will be better on window mode since the native resolution of the Apple 17" studio display is 1280 x 960.

I own an Apple 15" Studio LCD / G4 Cube and a Formac Studio dv/tv. I agree with Kenneth, window mode on an LCD is a bit cleaner than scaling to full screen. This is true of any LCD monitor since unlike CRTs, LCDs really only have 1 resolution (high res) and must scale and approximate the lower resolutions. In the case of Apple's 17" Studio LCD, high res is actually 1280*1024 - though I wish it was 1280*960 instead. However, the scaling effect isn't that bad. I've used my Formac Studio / 15" Apple Studio LCD in both window and full screen modes with excellent results.

To get full screen with the Formac Studio in OSX:
1 - enable 640*480 in OSX Displays (disabled by default) and select it.
2 - Start Teviron, select composite input, and then set it to full screen mode (TV Modus).
3 - Move the mouse off to the side and wait a few seconds for the Teviron menu to disappear. Now you'll have full screen display for your game console and TV channels.

If you move the mouse, you'll be able to change channels and video inputs from the TV modus menu while still in full screen mode. You can also change channels and adjust volume using the cursor keys on your Mac keyboard. PAL users may have to run 800*600 to avoid clipping. regards....joe

PS - Formac Studio dv/tv RULZ!!!

Game consoles are delayed when using the Formac device. I have one and have tried it. The game appears, but there is a full second and a half delay between the controller movement and the screen movement.

This is the same for all of the devices.

Don't buy one of these if your sole purpose is to play PS2 through your Mac. There is definitely a delay.
