Hi all. I just bought a new EZQuest 120GB Firewire drive, and am hoping to share it between 2 Macs. Naturally, I can have it connected via Firewire to one Mac and ethernet to the other, but I'm wondering if there's a better way. These two Macs are in two completely different parts of the house, but I would like them both to have Firewire transfer speeds.

Is there any way to do this?
It's the devil's way now.

I don't think so, sorry. Maybe a firewire switch (never heard of one though). Why not ethernet? 100mbs is not bad, or gigabit if you have powermacs.
Sorry not much help but at least you got a response.

Cheers! I wonder if there's a super-long Firewire cord.
