Mine was shipped 2nd day air on Thursday by Airborne, the same day I ordered it. I should have it tomorrow.

Whe I checked their web site yesterday it said the black Powermates sold out within 48 hours.

yeah I saw that too, but I have the receipt for order, and I've already payed so it's not like I'm not going to get it.. (or atleast that's what I hope)

maybe it has something to do with that it's shipped international _fedex

and I ordered it on 11/08/2002 and that was right before the weekend, and maybe they shipped it today... and are going to send an email later today.. (don't how late it ecxactly is over there (stupid time differences)

how does the soft power function work with you guys..?

can you start-up your computer when it's off and you press the button.

the powermate has to be plugged-in to the back of your computer directly not through keybord or hub!!

can you guys test it for me.. (and more than once)
I tried it with my G4 (2x500) and it worked a few times, but not everytime!!

greetings..

I have one of the silver ones (which wasn't all that easy to get in the UK!) I was gutted to find out you can't set the push-button action to ctrl-click in OSX though.

I emailed them about it and they said they would add it to a future software version. Would a few of you guys mind emailing them about this too, you know just to get them moving on it? Thanks

what do you guys use your Power mates for? I have looked at one sure feels nice, but 40 bucks or what ever it is, I already have a scroll wheel mouse, and I would only really use it if it controled the volume of iTunes, no mater what app is up front, and I have heard that this dosen't work.

I GOT WASTED WITH PHIL SHERRY!!!

I have a regular Silver PowerMate and still have never got it to work properly (even with the latest 1.5.1 drivers!)...

I have an iMac DV SE (500mhz Graphite) running Jaguar 10.2.2... Hooked to this iMac I have an iSub (the individual subwoofer) connected via USB.. When you use the PowerMate to control the volume of my iMac it takes over and starts moving the separate volume control that appears in the Sound Preferences Panel for the iSub.. It moves it all over the place (like it'll go all the way up and then all the way down, etc).. It's very very strange and I've talked to Griffin about this and no else has ever heard of this.. Anyone else have this problem?

I have an awesome silver paperweight sitting on my desk that I don't even bother plugging in to my Mac because it screws up my volume...

when i turned the powermate (to the right) the volume(the normal/system) increases, but it didn't go fluently, I corrigated it to adjust the sensitivity of the turning right and left (slower).. and now it's working perfectly!!

I don't have an iSub though, but maybe is this the problem!!

greetings..

I got mine on Wednesday, and, to be honest, I'm kind of wondering what I spent $45.00 for. I already have a scroll mouse and trackball, the power off/on feature doesn't work in Macs produced after summer 2000, and it really doesn't do anything but look cool! Oh well, live and learn!

If you have an iSub, you need to set the powermate to adjust the volume using your volume keys, not the built in volume setting. Adjust the keystrokes to use the volume buttons on your keyboard and it will work fine. I have an iSub and this bugged me for a long time until I figured out this fix. Hope that helps!

Cool! I'll have to give this a try... I'd love to be able to keep my PowerMate plugged in and not be annoyed! Thanks for the tip!

I have read that some people who bought a Griffin Powermate were not too happy with it... anyone selling theirs?

Does it work with iMovie or FCP to jog through video clips?
