Is it true that you have to set your T68i as discoverable everytime you want to sync it with your mac?
I could've sworn in Steve's demo that when someone called on the T68i their name and info came up on the Macs screen. So if you have to discover your phone everytime how can that possibly work?
My T68i is in the mail as is my bluetooth adapter. I am just trying to read as much as possible on the subject. Thanks.

All you do is open Bluetooth file exchange and turn on the Bluetooth on the T68i. It will then pop up and you can drag and drop items (pictures, sounds, etc.) into the phone.
Also, I beamed all my contacts from my Palm Vx to the T68i. It took a little while but it beats entering all that business with your phone alpha numeric keypad and avoids the carpal tunnel you would get by doing so.

So you have to do it everytime? That's pretty lame. I would think you turn on Bluetooth on the phone once and then every-time I want to sync after that it's just automatic when I hit the Sync button on iSync. Weird.
Does your call waiting information still come up on the computer screen when a call comes in? Cause that was damn cool!

I don't have to set my T68i as discoverable every time I iSync it, it just works!
Yes my call info pops up on the screen. You just need to have Address running and click the little bluetooth icon that appears in the address window and it works.
Bluetooth file exchange copies to the phone a treat. When you have BFE running you can send from the phone to your Mac - cool.
My friend with his Nokia 7650 was very impressed!

No, you can set it up so it stays on. I opted to turn it off so it wasn't open for anyone to access.
Yes, the ID biz still comes up.
It's a great little phone.

and another great site is Esato
I find the syncing between Mac and T68i very easy, just add Bluetooth as a Shortcut on your phone (you'll know what I mean when you get it).

That is because you have your Bluetooth set to always on. That eats your battery like nobody's business.

Well if you don't have it on all the time won't I have to pair it everytime I try to sync? I turned bluetooth to automatic on my phone and I had to redo the whole damn process.
Should I turn it off when I am away from my computer and then on when I'm near? I won't have to pair everytime?

Does anyone else have issues with their calendar items from iCal being synced at different times on the T68i? Everything of mine is probably pushed up a few hours...don't know why.

Do you have the same time zones set on both the Mac and the phone?
Just a thought.

That's what I was thinking but have no idea what I should do to set it. I am on the east coast right now but my phone number is an Arizona number. I will be living back there in a week.
Where can I find out what GMT + or - I am in...I never really figured that out.

Arizona is back 7 hours from GMT, so you want the GMT -7 setting.

ok, i'm confused. how exactly do you get the bluetooth icon to appear in adressbook? i remember seeing it there once, but now it's no longer there. does it have to be turned on somehow? what does this button even do? is this all you have to press to allow the caller id feature to pop up on your mac? i have yet to get that feature to work on my tibook.
and, are there limitations to the file formats you can send to the phone via the bluetooth file exchange program? can you send things to your mac from the t68i?

The button is on the top left of the address book.
You have to have address book running and your T68i to discoverable to get it to work.
It isn't worth the trouble though.

Sorry but I don't know how to do quotes but,
Yoda's Erotic Piggyback - no my phone's bluetooth is not always on, I just turn it on when I need it. You are right saying it eats the battery though!
tramahound - the button appears when you turn on bluetooth on you Mac. If you select it the caller id shows up when they call and it allows you to reject their call without even touching you phone. I have sent GIF's and JPEG's to and from my phone with Bluetooth file Excange. I have also sent midi ringtones and java apps to the 7650.
